The Republican Party, the New Fascists?

President Barack Obama is often accused of being a socialist. But after listening to leaders of the Republican Party, it's beginning to sound like they are a bunch of fascists. Super rich guy Donald Trump is soundly leading the pack in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. (According to the Public Policy Polling, he's 26 percent to second place Mike Huckabee at 17 percent.) That means a lot of Republicans like his ideas. If he gets the nomination that makes him also the de facto leader of the party. Lately Donald Trump is sounding like an American Caesar. Trump told NBC's Meredith Viera,

“…I say we take over the oil fields…I would take over the oil fields, because otherwise, Iran is gonna take over the second biggest oil fields in the world. I would absolutely, without question, not leave that section of that country. I would take the oil. To the victor belong the spoils.”

And he continues to insist "we take" the oil on the Fox News Network. By the way, taking the oil would be a violation of the Hague Conventions which the United States agreed to.

So Trump wants to take Iraqi oil something that Caesar would do. And in Wisconsin, Governor Scott Walker and the Republicans in their effort to destroy public unions ignored a judge's injunction. Yeah. Ignore rule of law. What I see from this Republican party is that might makes right. (It looks like a judge stopped them finally.) That makes the Republicans, the new fascists.

Maybe comedian Lewis Black was right. (Video below.) President Donald Trump would be the crazy third world dictator the country has never seen as president.
