Conservative Trump again defends the Confederacy and knows nothing of history

Republican President Donald Trump has just tweeted bemoaning the nationwide removal of Confederate statues. CNN report. Conservative Trump wrote:

"Sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments." "You can't change history, but you can learn from it." "Robert E Lee, Stonewall Jackson - who's next, Washington, Jefferson? So foolish!" CNN report.

If there was any question that Trump is a racist, is over. He is. These statues are monuments to the Confederacy. that's the "culture" he wants to preserve. And while some may have artistic value, almost all of them were erected to honor the Confederacy. And the Confederacy's prime issue was to preserve slavery. It should be noted that removing of Confederate statues is contested by racists and Nazis. By siding with the Confederacy and Nazis, Trump has now shown he is a racist. His support of the Obama birther issue is even more evidence.

Trump also does not know history. Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson fought and killed people to tear the country apart and preserve slavery. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, while not perfect, were the founding fathers of our great democracy.
