Bengals Persevere, Win 31-24 over the Packers
Bengals win 31-24, over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Come on, you thought once the Packers recovered the onside kick that the Bengals were going to blow it again. And when Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed the pass to get the ball in the red zone, you thought how are the Packers going to score and beat our beloved Bengals. Well, time ran out on them. Bengals win.
This win was a result of excellent line play on both sides of the ball. The offensive line pushed guys around. The Bengals were able to run amd play smash mouth. There was heart. Cedric Benson's third and two run in which he broke at least two tackles to get the first down was a thing of beauty. That was grit and determination demonstrated by a guy who wants to be here. The defense pressured Rodgers all day. And what about DE Antwan Odom? (Pictured.) Five freaking sacks! It's a great day to be a Bengals fan.
