TrekMovie is reporting who will be the villain in Star Trek 2013. Now I go over to that website and post on the threads under the moniker, Basement Blogger. And I correctly firgured out who the villain was. Now before you read on, here's the warning. If you don't want to know, stop here. SPOILER AHEAD.
The villain for the next Star Trek film to be released in 2013 is Khan. (Benedict Cumberbatch)
Okay, as a Trekker, I'm not really excited. We've been there and done that. Khan is a genetically engineered superhuman. His motivation is to rule the earth. No surprise here. Hollywood often gets accused of not having any new ideas. And this confirms that.
That being said, I will keep an open mind. Maybe the production company Bad Robot that is making the film will make a great movie. But don't put this Trek in the new worlds category.
