The Cincinnati Reds Sent A Message

Last year the St. Louis Cardinals had the Cincinnati Reds number. Yeah, the Reds lost to the Cardinals twelve times and won only six games. But the Cardinals couldn't beat the bad teams and Cincinnati won the division.

So after losing two of three earlier this year, the Cardinals are here in Cincinnati for a start of a three game series. It didn't start well. The Cardinals got off to a 4-0 lead before the Reds scored in the sixth. The Cardinals made plays. The Reds didn't. Then came the sixth and the Reds pushed across two runs. In the seventh and ninth innings the never say die Reds scored three more runs to tie it up. In the bottom of the tenth with Chirs Heisey on second, MVP Joey Votto (pictured) smashed a single to score Heisey. Ballgame.

With the victory, the Reds sent a message to the Cardinals and their arrogant fans. You won't bully us this year. See you later, little bit... er, birds. Here's the story with video.
